THE 2 WAYS
TO DECORATE AN AIRCRAFT
Before painting, the entire aircraft will be stripped from its original coating. After that is done, The paint shop applies the livery in multiple layers. Finally, a protection layer is applied to the aircraft’s skin. This layer ensures the livery will last between five to ten years with minimal revisions.
Wrapping an aircraft is advised when only a small surface of the fuselage needs artwork. It’s also the ideal solution for a temporary occasion such as wet leases or marketing campaigns. Although wrapping doesn’t last as long as a full respray, it is often much cheaper than repainting, and it’s easy to remove.
