THE 2 WAYS
TO DECORATE AN AIRCRAFT
Before repaint, the entire aircraft will be stripped from it’s original coating. After that, The paintshop will apply the livery on the aircraft in multiple layers. After coating, a protection layer for the skin of the aircraft will be applied, meaning that a livery can last between 5 to 10 years with minimal revisions.
Wrapping an aircraft is advised when only a small surface of the fusekage needs artwork, or if it’s a temporary occasion. For example wet-leases or marketing campaigns. This is often much cheaper than repainting and it’s easy to remove.
